      If you know what you want and have the energy to do it, it's all possible. If you're waiting for something to happen, you're probably working for the wrong company. Work with some of the most creative and technically astute people. Never a boring moment, seize the day. "Not possible" is not in this company's vocabulary.

      Cons

      Don't even consider asking for a budget - anything budgetary is dealt with by a politburo. Work/life balance, what's that? Don't be surprised by internal competition, it can be as challenging as external competition. When you're interviewing for a job, make sure you ask the highest possible salary - once you're in, don't expect significant raises.

      Pros

      Large Company - diverse opportunities. Good benefits. Stable company. Growth opportunities exist but vary by division and group. Company growing by acquisition so lots of new areas coming on and there is constant change.

      Cons

      Salaries are low (if you have been there a while). Not as good to employees as some other large companies. Lots of long time veterans so sometimes growth can be stifled. Lots of politics and some groups have a lot of backstabbing etc, going on. Turf wars between VPs etc. are also quite common. Also, promotions are quite slow in some divisions and it takes a long time to go up the chain (if you leave and come back, you can short-circuit some of that).
