Pros

100% remote options available to those that prove themselves (otherwise you are on the road), very little micromanaging, can generally work whenever you want as long as you get the project in by deadline, nice equipment

Cons

Pay is lower than market averages, no yearly performance reviews, raises are given at 1-2% of current salary (so once you are locked into a salary you are stuck there), managers rarely know the technology to help out with troubleshooting and customer complaints- only know how to invoice and bill and put pressure on those below them to invoice and bill. Sales team is poorly trained and make the same mistakes when selling equipment and service over and over. Sales, consulting, and support are constantly blaming each other for customer issues instead of working together.
