Pros

OpenTable was an amazing company in the beginning. The culture is amazing and my coworkers were great. The pay was decent. Remote work is a plus.

Cons

More and more was piled on our plates. Products rolling out without being complete, leaving support to deal with the angry customers. The whole company got to leave early on Fridays in the summer, except support. There were often "company weeks off" which included everyone - but support. Support was always an afterthought. Lay offs came unexpectedly after being told for months that it wouldn't be happening. Over 65 people were laid off, with their positions being outsourced to Mexico.

Pros

You get to work with restaurants and your peers will be awesome. There's a great culture with your peers below leadership

Cons

Product is always playing catch up with competitors. You are goaled on things outside of your control. I never felt like I knew how to reach my goals. Leadership is very green and it's only about revenue.
