Pros
- Great employee discount at all Gap Inc stores - Casual environment - Great work experience for teens and young adults - I loved my co-workers and most of the store management - Very flexible with student schedules, availability, and requested time off - "Free to be me" policy regarding tattoos, piercings, hair, etc.
Cons
- Minimal pay - Not much room for advancement - Forced to sell credit cards in a crappy economy - The work is a little monotonous, if you are good in one area you are likely to be stuck in that area every shift - After working there for many years I realized new employees weren't receiving the same training that I went through and were slackers... not sure if it's a management issue or just that I had grown out of the position. - Even with satisfactory employee evaluations, your annual pay raise is crappy.
