Pros

Low pressure job, great salary for the amount of work performed, interesting subject matter (initially), insanely generous vacation time and travel opportunities. A great job for a retired type seeking a sinecure or a PhD student looking to complete a thesis on the dole

Cons

A stifling bureaucracy that frowns upon ambition and colleagues that are mostly a combination of dull, weird, and shiftless who are seeking to do the least work possible while collecting a decent check. This likely appeals to a number of people.

Pros

Professional, open, good salaries and packages included, a place and people to learn from.

Cons

Sometimes too strict, in some countries do not pay for local employees' state benefits (pension fund/social security)
