Pros

job is interesting, great it you love numbered metrics

Cons

decision to hit the 50% percentile for jobs in salaries and benefits. basically, if you are happy with mediocrity, you'll be happy with your pay, and management will be happy with your performance.

Pros

-Great people here who believe in doing the right thing -The safety culture is great, and getting better all the time -Important work / mission / purpose -The company has some great pockets of innovation and it will be very exciting to see what happens here in the next few years

Cons

-Equity, Diversity and Inclusion is tough in a company that is very homogenous. There's a long way to go, but to its credit, Nutrien is working on it. -Change is constant especially in the corporate functions. If you can't roll with it, this is not the place for you. -The workload is frankly unsustainable with current resourcing. The leaders know it, but don't actually "get it"

Pros

If you can just come to work for a good paycheck it is a great place to be. The pay is good for the work scope. The people you get to work with are great. The culture and values that are promoted from the company are positive.

Cons

Horribly mismanaged, lack of communication and planning, almost non existent training. Severe gaps between culture and reality. The company loves to check their equity boxes, yet are not actually an inclusive work place. They do not fulfill their duties to accommodate, are not welcoming to minorities or women. No benefit coverage if you have disabilities or medical conditions. Safety is a huge ongoing issue, it is not a priority when production or time is involved, only when its convenient does it matter. I was excited for the opportunity to work for this company as it sounded great, yet I feel like I was tricked. I gave up different opportunities to work here, yet the reality of the environment and how the place is run is completely opposite of what is promoted. I would never recommend any of my friends or family to work here, and I am happy to now have experiences on my resume so I can find employment elsewhere. This is not somewhere you can spend your career working if you have any self respect or pride in what you do. If you can just turn off the care factor and collect your pay, then you wont have a problem.

Thank you for your feedback and for highlighting areas in which you feel we can improve. We’re disappointed to hear of your experience with inclusivity in the workplace, as we have several programs in place to support and enhance employee experience in the areas you’ve highlighted. We provide Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) for women, young employees, LGBTQ+/allies and veterans, and are always willing to create new networks based on interest from our employees. We strive to create an environment where everyone is accepted regardless of age, sex, race, background or personal beliefs – this is in alignment with our engagement principles of community and inclusion, as well as our Respect in the Workplace Policy. In addition, safety is a core value and is foundational in everything we do. It is always a priority over all else. With regards to benefits for those with medical conditions, it is difficult to answer without details. We can confirm that we offer comprehensive medical coverage from the date of hire for all regular employees. Like all of our benefit plans in Canada, medical coverage is offered in a flexible format allowing employees to tailor coverage to their personal circumstances.
