Pros

- Flexible hours and scheduling - Discounted NVD products - Average benefits. New gym. - Limited opportunities for projects abroad (nationally & internationally)

Cons

- Little recognition of effort and work. Management is quick to blame and provides little support to their own groups. - Promotions given even if individuals are not fully qualified - Work is done and prioritized in a constant "crisis" mode, providing little time and opportunity to get "normal" work done.

Pros

- Many side projects always available and opportunities to grow; - ok culture (not the worst, but not the best) - ok-ish salaries - some interesting HR programs (Spark points, internal communities, etc)

Cons

- highly political and stiff structure. its a company that lives for the rules and everyone hides behind an SOP; - its a company that sees problems and not solutions; - for some roles, that salary is not enough compensation for the headaches you will get; - most roles related to innovation and change are just for show; - training for manager is a joke.

Pros

- Great people overall in HR - everyone wants to make a difference - Streamlining of therapeutic spaces makes efficient sense in the new operating model - Company is really trying to reinvent / refresh itself with the best of intentions

Cons

- Values and behaviors are great - but there is more empty talk versus action. Post restructuring "red behaviors" seems very acceptable again if it means profits which undermines both psychological safety of associates and HR partners to the business - A LOT (and I mean A LOT) of who you know and how long you have been at Novartis is what gets you the internal jobs. It's quite exhausting. Many higher level roles are appointed and never posted even internally. - HR is being led by a non-HR leader. It is someone the CEO trusts, but not a visionary HR Leader.
