      Working at Novartis was a very good experience and I would go back if the opportunity arises.

      Pros

      The environment at Novartis is good. Most employees are friendly and easy to work with. Most employees in higher positions were very approachable.

      Cons

      Mostly contractors doing the work with very few opportunities to advance. There are a few members in the department who are very manipulative and it is very hard to work with management to resolve some of the major issues.

      Not what it's cracked up to be

      Pros

      Good pay, benefits. Used to allow a degree of flexibility but even that's changing. Off week of x-mas-new year.

      Cons

      fear based management, micromanagement. Focus on aspects of business that don't produce results. They talk about "run your territory like it was your business" but don't give the latitude to do the right thing by customers.
