Pros

Great for learning fundamentals Job security Internal movement capability Great people Work life balance

Cons

Terrible pay by relation to start ups Promotions are very tough to get at times due to budgetary constraints. Tons of red tape. No freedom of thought. Set processes for literally everything. Extremely slow paced Very change adverse No stock options, unless you’re an executive. Terrible benefits and minimal bonuses. Lots of people that do the bare minimum to get by. Management typically does not listen to individual contributors or criticism.
