Large employer with many functions Enjoy having students around and being surrounded by some great innovative research Many managers are very willing to allow flexible arrangements, but it depends on who you work for (non of these flexible arrangements are centralized)

Cons

State government employees (no raises the past two years) and too much oversight by government, especially now with the state budget being so behind.
