Pros

To work for the largest mobile handset manufacturer is a pleasure. The staff are great and people are motivated to do a good job. Work environment and facilities are great. It is very motivating and the staff reflect off of that. Recognition is greatly looked upon as in certain teams. Depending on the Manager, your work will be recognized by others quite well and room for growth is possible.

Cons

Too much re-organization going on. Nokia needs to stay competitive especially in the North American Market where they are drastically falling behind in all the latest trends. We have great products, but they don't come out in time and it always seems that we're the followers instead of the innovators. Senior mgmt are now encouraging that and restructuring the organization in a way so that we can create products and not platforms. Hopefully this transition will create just that and get us back on top and become that company we were once before.

Pros

- My first telco multinational company - Flexible working hours, i can go to office little bit late, or even working from home rarely - Many compensation packages - Open communication - Still a secure place to work during this global financial crisis

Cons

- Unclear career path yet - Prefer to recruit external new experts rather than developing the current employee - Working as costumer facing teams do like a front line fleet in the war. Sometimes it's difficult to seek a backup from management and product development while customer killing us with their complaints. Sometimes we do get better support from selling 3rd party product than the internal product.
