* you can learn a lot * competitive salary and benefits * easy to change team depending on your interests * interesting R&D job - not only "bug fixing" projects

Cons

* highly depends on a team * teams responsible for projects became too large it's very hard to communicate * high management decisions are sometimes very weird - it depends on low level managers whether they are able to hide them from developers and let them focus on the product

Significant share of management does have the technical insight nor do they seek advice to make decisions about which approach serves the business goal most. Questionable management skills: It is a common practice within management to assume that every problem in the project plan can be solved by overtime requests.
