Global portfolio and project variety. Great at moving rocks.

Cons

Low priority on exploration and long term vision. Little geoscience representation at most senior levels. Bureaucracy and politics made worse by M&As. Disorganized supply chain, a lawyer at every water cooler, and terrible HR. Low to median salaries for geoscience specialists. Poor work life balance.

Pros

The camps are looked after in terms of rubbish, being clean and very high level of effort for busses and food.

Cons

The company software I had to install formatted my phone and I lost all my family photos and things they didn't care. Lot of experience with working remote but struggled a bit with FIFO and family as a parent passed away, rather than give leave they used the 3 month probation to sack me. I would guess this depends on your direct supervisors choice more than anything. Just perform and if you don't click with your supervisor start applying somewhere else they don't care the circumstances or other workers I spoke to who were being bullied just keep your head down don't expect support.
