Toxic workplace, some employees have bad attitudes without consequences. Leadership has double standards. They lack procedural fairness and unbiased judgement causing stressful work environment.

A little too much focus on “shiny new toy” - it’s all about implementing things fast and cheap, which means quality issues are just left as a burden for the business to figure out. We could be a lot more cost-effective if the business wasn’t constantly figuring out workarounds just to get their jobs done. IT projects are particularly bad for being all about system/technology and not inclusive of business process. Promotion opportunities are scarce - most people go elsewhere to get a job at the next level because Newmont hired senior positions externally. With resources fairly evenly split between northern and southern hemispheres, if you’re in a global role, plan on daily extended hours to work with people on the other side of the world.
