Pros

They don't make it a habit of firing people. The branch offices try their best to take care of the employees but it is all up to the HQ office in NY. If you work in NY, they have company parties and short summer hours but that doesn't expand to the branch offices.

Cons

Promises that aren't kept and don't see the value in their employees.

Supervisors are generally friendly and understanding. Good work/life balance

Cons

Communication about BGC acquisition not great. Definite shift in what was once a very enjoyable corporate culture.

Great people and benefits make it fun to work here. Very collegial environment and flat hierarchy make communication effective.

Cons

Salaries are not competitive and employees are becoming disgruntled. Pending acquisition makes it risky to work here.
