Pros

The newest kid in the block in Bayan Lepas. An American MNC. When news of NI Malaysia is starting up, it caused quite a stir in the industry as they started forming their team of R&D engineers as well as IT personnels by recruiting the "best and brightest" from other MNCs around the area. This company has one of the most flexible working hours I've ever seen and experienced. You are basically in control of your own career development. If you plan to stay dormant and stagnant... hey.. why not? You're not gonna get punished. If you wish to be aggressive and climb the ladder... you can be sure to get all the help you need from the management. If you see the other reviews where they say promotion is almost impossible... it's a lie. There are several promotions every year. It's just too bad the ones who didn't get promoted are the ones posting reviews in Glassdoor. Okay let's talk about the benefits... Dental coverage for self and immediate family members... 2 days childcare leave per year... in addition to the countless number of leaves that one can take. A very young and experienced management team (for R&D, at least) who wish to hear what employees are thinking directly rather than reading it from Glassdoor. And there's Salary... please find a company in Bayan Lepas where employees are paid so high that everyone working with them sing nothing but praises about the salary. Sometimes people need to be realistic. You ain't gonna get rich just by waiting for the pay check end of the month! Wake up people.. if you think you are not paid high enough, either you quit or you find out exactly why and don't just blame the company. In the years I've been with NI, I have been getting double digit increments. If I can do it, I don't see why you can't. Stop complaining, do something. Your threats of "attrition will be very high soon" ain't gonna happen. There will be juniors waiting to take over your position anytime, any day. Lastly, the management's commitment to keep job stability as the highest priority is commendable. When other companies are shutting down departments and retrenching their employees, NI is committed to keep every single employee... so the worst that could happen is a salary cut and perhaps some temporary benefits removal.

Cons

Yeah.. the employee sharing bonus is using a formula that frankly speaking... is from the 1980s... it's pathetic. Unfortunately, every employee in the world is having the same problem so this is something that needs to be fixed by Dr T or Alex Davern. Secondly.... the NI Penang deck party used to be very happening.... now it's just too "dry" if you know what I mean... Oh well... this is a multi-racial country after all, there are just some people you can't please. Thirdly... of all places... Batu Maung??
