Pros

There is absolutely no work in company , so you can do whatever you want and nobody is going to ask you . you sit for an year and do nothing. work life balance is all you got in this company , can go for higher studies. almost a third of the entire company(Entire bangalore) does it every year

Cons

encourages mediocrity. All the good employees have either left or were forced to leave. And all dumb middle men are left around doing nothing all day long. Technologically some of these people who joined as freshers are not even aware that they are light years behind rest of the world. There is also linguistic bias , almost 95 percent of the population is local, hard for an outsider to fit in. Some of the managers are dumber than a second coat of paint doing nothing for almost 5 years most of these people here have got rusted mentally and absolutely cannot survive in outside world once you work for 2 years here. There is no connection between head office and Bangalore. Bangalore branch is worse than infosys/wipro.

Pros

I get to work on a project I'm excited about and actually enjoy working on. The products NI makes get used for tons of awesome engineering applications. I feel like I'm contributing to something that is making the world a better place. The culture is relaxed, open and friendly. I like the people I work with and I feel like leadership generally makes good decisions. NI is very good about communicating with it's employees regardless of whether the news is good or bad. This gives me a lot of confidence in the company. Even when times are bad (2009 era for example) I feel like they try harder than most companies to be a stable employer and make decisions that balance the needs of the employees with the needs of the business.

Cons

I feel like I could probably be making a better salary elsewhere. To me personally, I feel like the benefit of enjoying coming to work probably outweighs the difference in salary though.
