Great company, leading the AI revolution. Both hardware and software. Challenging and inspiring tasks. Great co-workers. Great benefits, including the generous Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
Cons
Can't think of any major con, Maybe the fact that co-workers are spread over multiple time zones, which sometimes leads to akward working hours.
I've worked for many companies, I stayed at nvidia because it's well run, the best among the companies I've worked for. I'm only leaving because of retirement. I have nothing but good things to say about Jensen (founder / CEO) and his management practices, he treats us well and we've all shared in the company's success.
Cons
The only negative is that most of the senior people have been there for many years, and I have to believe they'll be retiring in the coming years as well. The people leading make the company what it is, and there's no way to know if whoever takes over will do as well. I certainly hope so, but it is a risk.
NVIDIA has the best culture I have seen in my 20+ years of work experience. There is a lot of empowerment, autonomy, and potential for growth. There is quite a bit of flexibility in picking what work you do, sometimes even crossing organizational boudaries (which is very uncommon in other companies).
The people are very friendly and are genuinely interested in helping you, rather than competing with you. The CEO actively nurtures an agile and cooperative environment.
Cons
Information is not well-organized and sometimes it can be difficult to find it. Hopefully AI will solve this problem :)
