Not a bad place to work, depends on store management and coworkers.
Pros
Flexible hours, reasonably relaxed, friendly employees (mostly), good pay as a mechanic if you have certifications. Pay is base plus commission (other than manager) can be positive or negative. You can move up from tire tech to mechanic (sort of like apprenticing) if you don't have formal education/experience.
Cons
Pay as a tire tech, sometimes customers can be troublesome, at times sales and managers can be unreasonably demanding of work speed, if your a woman it's more of a "male" environment, not all tire techs pull their own weight, if you like shops with A/C during the summer and a heater during the winter not the place for you, and unloading the tire truck (unless you want a break from actual work). I personally enjoyed working there though; tire tech moved up to mechanic.
