Cons

Paid minimum wage but told we should be grateful for a pay rise (when minimum wage went up. Not allowed holidays during summer sale or stocktake fortnight using up 4 of the 6 weeks the kids have off over summer 7 hr contract but never given under 14 hrs even when I said I couldn’t work

Colleagues are friendly, and you get 75% off for uniform allowance.

Cons

Training is poor, you have to rely on asking others to learn the job. The official training given isn’t directly helpful because it is more about health and safety, loss prevention, etc. So you won’t know how to deal with customer complaints and queries. Pay was minimum wage as a student.
