      An average company to work with, broad spectrum of work but bad management

      Pros

      - friendly environment and active HR makes it a good workplace - Tertiary benefits (like training, team outings) are substantial. - Salaries are fairly good as compared to similar companies (service sector) - Large spectrum of real varied projects allow a person to learn a lot - Exposure to Japanese way of working - Awards and recognition are plenty (though, riddled with politics)

      Cons

      - Management style is poor with almost no vision - Technical breadth of capabilities towards the upper ladder is really limited, providing no direction or mentoring to those who can learn - You will very frequently bump across employees who have been 'referred'; Even though they might not be excellent, don't be surprised that they earn more than you even at the same level of designation - Politics is very rampant; You need to be in good books over your managers (senior management) to be considered as a 'valuable employee' - Management is more concerned about 'money' than actually making a valuable contribution to their customer. Customers keep complaining but nothing affects them - only a few philosophical statement and lip-service and things are back to what they were: bad.
