Toxic company culture: Most people wants to wash hands and blame on others will not think twice of stepping on others, spreading rumours that may or may not be true about you. Hardworking and honest employees are most at risk. These people will be your friend only to backstab you to snatch credit for your work. Make sure you document everything you do to protect yourself. Being neutral and professional is not enough in this environment. Colleagues may seem nice but BEWARE. Behind that smile lies an evil devil waiting to snare its next prey. If you are not a part of the inner circle, you can forget about getting good work done, let alone a promotion. Seniors enjoy slapping newly joined junior daily, do not teach much and after email to recipients slapped you on teams call via emails. Pay and benefit is not that great. Company is stingy with benefits and miser bonus. Poor organisation: There are officially many protocols and limited upward mobility: Typical hierarchical Japanese structure. This is the worst Japanese company I ever joined. You are better off moving to another company instead of a lateral move within.
