Pros

NBC provides great benefits and fosters an environment of excellency in whatever your position is. If you apply yourself and take advantage of your resources, you will learn a great deal about the industry.

Cons

Too many layoffs and reorganizations without having the best strategy in place once these big changes happen. Everyone, especially people below the managerial levels, are grossly overworked and underpaid. In the last year, I have not seen the same loyalty to employees that was once a part of the NBC culture.

Pros

A big effort is made on fringe benefits like free coffee fun stuff to do for healthy week digifest to engage with new tech.

Cons

The more senior you are the less likely you are to have any time to engage beyond your day job. There is a culture of creating jobs around people not business so be prepared to politic if you want to rise. Flexibility really does depend on where you are in the organisation too.
