Pros

Good pay, benefits and extra perks

Cons

Utterly inflexible regarding remote work. Despite our department proving ourselves perfectly capable WFH for 2+ years (our numbers even went up!), once the company declared the COVID crisis over, they demanded that all employees return to the office. Anyone who resisted (even with medical issues that would make returning to the office quite dangerous), they wouldn't even entertain the idea.

Pros

Some incredibly talented employees, impressive household company name, good benefits

Cons

Overall, the culture I encountered was toxic. Poor management and HR looking in the other direction when numerous employees voice the same/similar complaints. Management seems focused only on self-promotion and does not seem to care about employee growth/development. That, and the compensation is low. Overall a good company to cut your teeth at due to the name but would not suggest staying here long term.

Pros

Great 401k and nice workspace. If you want a place where you just keep your head down, are fine with being expected to work more than 8-hour days every day then you'll last until you burn out.

Cons

• Healthcare not as good as it was • Department is headed by nepotism so any hope for advancement relies in being in the favor of upper management • Micro-managing time has become rampant due to firing or promoting of competent managers so that those left running things are at the apex of the "Peter Principle" • Not really open to new ideas/approaches as they'd rather play safe and keep things how they've always been and upper management generally ignores those below them.
