Pros

The kind guests and working for a theme park

Cons

Hostile Work Environment: This company fosters a deeply toxic culture. I was a target of relentless bullying, harassment, and defamation by my leads and coworkers. False rumors were spread about me, and any complaints I made were leaked back to the group of people who were harassing me, leading to further ostracization and gossip. Zero Accountability from Management and HR: My managers actively participated in and encouraged the bullying. When I brought my concerns to HR, including receiving death wishes on my baby, they dismissed my pleas for help, stating, "you need proof or it didn't happen," which is a line from the movie Training Day. This shocking lack of professionalism and empathy is a clear indication that HR is not there to protect employees. Retaliation and Discrimination: My experience was one of constant retaliation. I was written up while 8 months pregnant for "huffing and puffing" without any proof. After I returned from maternity leave, my shifts were stripped away, and my seniority was given to new hires. When I inquired about this, I was fired shortly after they learned I had filed a complaint with DEI. No Career Growth Without Favoritism: There is absolutely no opportunity for internal growth or advancement unless you are a personal favorite and part of the select group of individuals who engage in this negative behavior. Merit and hard work are disregarded in favor of a clique-based system. Union Ineffectiveness: The union reps are in cahoots with the company and offered no real support. They advised me to "keep my head down" and "take the name calling and being yelled at" rather than advocating for my rights.

Pros

Good overall company culture and great benefits. Lots of educational opportunities for self growth. If you get with the right team and good managers, you have lots of opportunity to grow upwards within the company.

Cons

Some management likes to gate keep info and keep those beneath them down. I’ve heard this story far too often from many people across many divisions. Also HR and legal counsel appear are afraid to take action on problematic managers and employees until they know they have a lawsuit on their hand.

Pros

The people are 95% of the reason staying at that company longer than a week is possible. Some of the kindest and easy going people I've ever encountered at a job. The benefits are also pretty good. Solid amount of time off and insurance is okay.

Cons

If you are working in any job not directly tied to some kind of tv production you are a second class citizen and will be treated with frequent disrespect and contempt. Security, Custodial, and Kitchen staff are all treated so poorly I honestly can't believe the keep staff. Entire sections of management in these teams are so inept and petty that getting any actual work done is nearly impossible while also navigating their egos. Any on air talent or associated employees are immune to consequence. I had numerous employees across all positions frequently treat me and my team with disrespect and was told by my manager to "suck it up and not let people control my day." There is also little to no upward mobility for anyone who hasn't interned as a page.
