Pros

NBC Universal offered me fair pay along with the opportunity to increase knowledge and gain experience. The people were kind and I was proud to work there. I'm often sorry I left. The environment there is energetic and infectious. There was a new adventure every week and I greatly appreciated the spontaneity of my experience.

Cons

Long or extended hours were frequently required without any prior notice. I wish there was more flexibility with regard to schedule. The constant travel also become a challenge after a while. If I could do it all again, I would establish more boundaries at the outset. All in all, it was quite a learning experience I would not trade for the world.

Pros

NBC was a great place because your work was so widely viewed. You knew exactly what the end result was because of the sucess of the TV show. It was very rewarding to see your work 3 or 4 months later all over the place. Depending on your group, you can have alot of freedom to make decisions.

Cons

It is a large company that does so much. This makes it hard to stand out. Your growth potential may be limited depending on where in the company you are working. Although you may be able to do whatever you want, the size of the company dwarfs your personal project.
