Pros

You get to work on innovative, cutting edge, out of this world projects. You get to work with the smartest people. Flexibility in the workplace to help you with life/work balance. Diversity minded and acceptance.

Cons

With decreasing government budget, projects get cut. Management is rewarded for being "yes" people. So there is limited progress in some areas. Need better control of outreach products.
