      Interning - Atmospheric Reentry Branch

      Pros

      Little/no bureaucracy for engineering/science branches, employees and mentors nice willing to help, relaxed work environment, nice and fairly cheap lunches, plenty of presentations and events (drop testing, hangar visits, talks by chief scientists, branch open-houses, etc.), always new tech being researched, rec. facilities nearby, all types of people

      Cons

      Some branches may have budget issues, leaving interns with nothing to do. As of Aug. 2016, currently demo-ing more buildings than creating. Wind tunnels are constantly being taken down. Takes months/years to acquire tech worth more than a couple 10K b/c too much paperwork and bureaucracy in "budget" department.

      Pros

      People are very smart and friendly, Convenient Lunch Room, Large Auditorium for meetings and parties when Astronauts return from space. spacious gardens and ponds, personal safety, smart peers.

      Cons

      There were no cons working at Nasa. All employees were very gracious, smart, and courteous. Driving to Nasa is a bit far, but traffic always flows unless freeway feeder streets are flooded.

      Great Experience - Summer Internship

      Pros

      Constantly surrounded by brilliant and passionate people, beautiful campus with interesting history. The summer usually hosts a plethora of students so it was also a great way to network and meet people!

      Cons

      The only con I think of was that there weren't as many intern-specific activities being held outside of work hours.
