NASA does important and exciting work that benefits humanity.

Cons

If you are one of NASA's 18,000 federal employees, you have great benefits. If you are one of NASA's 50,000 employees, you will be a serf. (Akin to a member of a servile feudal class bound to the job and subject to the will of federal employees. In other words, poor benefits, extra work and hours for zero pay (because *everyone* is a salaryman), and when folks leave, you will do yet another job-for no pay. And so on.

The work is very fulfilling and the people were amazing

Cons

The pay is the biggest downside. The location is barely a con, but is. Huntsville is a very nice city but is lacking a little bit.
