Pros

Nothing , this is the worst company i resigned in 11 months

Cons

Every company has some basic hierarchy and respect boundaries — engineers, support staff, and then office staff. But in MicroStrategy, office-level people are treated like Level 1, and engineers are treated like a mistake. This place runs on pure politics. Someone whose job is literally to manage snacks and basic office tasks is treated like a god, and software engineers are called “wrong hires” and “rich spoiled kids.” Customer support and office staff with basic job backgrounds are getting stock worth 50+ lakhs, while engineers who actually build things get treated like garbage. Favouritism is everywhere. Upper management is basically one group speaking the same language, from the same place, and the environment is extremely toxic. We joined as 8 software engineers and 3 QA. Today only 2 people are left. Everyone else resigned. The company wastes skilled people and then blames them. Directors and VPs with 25+ years of “experience” — not in tech, just in talking — openly said “rotten oranges left.” They hire based on language, personal connections, and ex-employees. I’ve never seen a VP insult his own mother in a meeting to make a point and then compare engineers to her. That tells you a lot about the mentality. This same VP keeps bragging about having 50 crores, a farmhouse, and 20 pets. Nobody cares. What he doesn’t have is basic respect or maturity. All 11 of us were working nights, giving everything. And still, in every call — USA, Poland, China — they were told by this VP that the Indian team is “not working” and is a “liability.” When I resigned, I genuinely felt like the happiest person on the planet. Final Note: You can earn 5 lakhs less somewhere else and still be far happier. Mental health is everything. Join this place only if you truly have no other option.

Pros

Free lunch once a week, frequent company events/happy hours, global workforce, friendly talented employees

Cons

Over the past few years a majority of engineering has been fired, leaving many teams with a skeleton squad. The company has shifted to quick delivery and super micromanagement. The mandatory office hours are 8:30-6pm with no flexibility, 5 days a week. For some reason engineering is the only department that has to be in the office on Fridays, other departments WFH. The company has also long cultivated a diverse workforce, often non-citizens, and recently they are not allowing anyone to take vacation longer than 2 weeks and making travel abroad impossible if you aren’t a us citizen.
