Pros
The salaries are okay. Working for a vendor looks good on your cv. You can get time off provided you ask for it one quarter in advance. You get to visit many places.... to work there and stay in sad hotels for weeks on end. These are not really pros.
Cons
Forget about spare time or having a life if you work in Professional Services. Prepare to be pushed around and sent abroad week after week after week until you don't even know where you are anymore. Prepare to wait a long time to get your expenses reimbursed. Prepare to never know where you're going to be next week. Prepare to have to do all that travelling in your spare time. Prepare for managers who can't even pretend to care about you, your career goals or anything going on in your personal life. Prepare to get training in your already very limited spare time - but hey, it's something to do as you spend evening after evening in a boring hotel room in an even more boring city somewhere.
