Students should try grocery stores as a part-time first. It is really not stressful because the whole store can function with one or two people if they call in sick whereas if it was fast food, they will depend on every single employee to show up Big lunch room

- choice of half hour or full hour unpaid lunch - impossible to fire you - generally chill people

Cons

- yearly raises if any at all - managers take all responsibility with little compensation and are thus overworked, stressed, and more often than not pissed off - hours are lost the following year if hours don't get used - usually only minimum wage available - worst training to sit through in your entire life
