Pros

flexible schedule, great benefits, good work environment. Management listens and responds to concerns....MetLife is a great place to build a career, I started from the bottom and did fairly well even without a college degree

Cons

The Pay is not commensurate to the hours or responsibilities. Being a salary exempt employee (meaning no overtime) means that you are expected to put in the how ever many hours are necessary to complete the job. being such a large company there are also many competing agendas amongst the different business units

Pros

Amble time off, decent benefits

Cons

Management only cares about the employees that they favor, if you are well liked, you will get ahead in the company, otherwise its a moot point. Favortism is played within departments.

Pros

They offer some good products in Life insurance and back it up with good marketing materials. There appears to be good brand recognition in the marketplace

Cons

Managers are far more concerned with hiring new people than they are with growing and helping the existing agents. Tremendous turnover of agents tells you all you need to know.
