Pros

Flexible schedule, potential to build a personal business within a corporation.

Cons

Salary for only 6months, then pure commission, difficult for new people to get quality leads. Primarily a sales job, constantly cold calling.

Pros

Great Benefits, good work / life balance. Strong expertise in different technologies and opportunities to continue to get training in various areas.

Cons

Because the company is big, you tend to be compartmentalized in the work you do, with little exposure to other areas of work. You can always go out of your way to learn other areas, but will likely not be given official responsibility to work in that area.

Pros

MetLife has a great brand, excellent products, and great benefits..

Cons

Working as a Financial Service Representative is a hard job. Unless you have a great network of friends and contacts with high net worth and with the potential of serving as a referral source, it is very hard to succeed. Keep in mind this is a commissions only job--you don't sell, you don't make money. It's a job with great potential, but not too many people succeed.
