Company has long tradition and good reputation through the insurance and financial industry.

MetLife Home Loans division is red-headed stepchild in the grand scheme of the organization. Corporate is disbanding organization because of latest financial reform makes it too costly to create a profitable business.

Pros

Great work/life balance. Able to work from home during the week which helps alot. Good benefits, except for Vision. Lots of learning opportunities (webinars, seminars, clubs, etc.)

Cons

No growth unless you are a favorite. Internal recruiters are running a mill. Difficult to transfer to a new position unless you know someone. Managers have no real experience only been at the company for 20+ years so they promote them to the next level.
