Pros

Hopefully things continued to change. They offered a lot of perks abd benefits. Tons of training and opportunities to change departments

Cons

Thw attendance policy ia extra strict, unless you have a serious medical issue they will work with you but only to a point. You work with the people that handle your disability claims and they will misspell your name because they don't like you and you will never get your stuff filled. Also a ton of favoritism goes on. And for sure a boys club when it comes to getting better positions in specific departments. And be ready to be emotionally abused on a regular basis with no back up in regards to fixing the situation thats causing the problem!

Pros

They have decent insurance for employees

Cons

I worked at Metlife for almost two years and I had to take several leave of absences due to medical reasons. I was unable to work full time returning to work per Dr request. Then I had the flu and had to miss a few days of work and was told I had to resign or work full time or go back out on disability. I didn't need to go back out on disability because I was doing a lot better. When I talked to my manager she was unprofessional as always and not actually doing her research before telling me and getting my hopes up that I can work my part time schedule per the request of my doctor. They claim to be experts in disability insurance but don't actually care about the employees disabilities. Also, I came back from disability one time and they over paid me and never explained to me that I had to miss pay checks. They just started to not pay me for 4 pay cycles which made me more ill because I wasn't able to take care of myself with no money. They don't care if you have had covid, you have to work no matter what. They never explain anything and when you try to get an answer you get several different answers so you never know what the real answer is until you get angry and have to yell to get what you want. Also if you have any sort of mental disability. This is not the job for you. You are constantly getting yelled at and belittled by customers. You barely get nice callers which makes it difficult when you are sitting at home taking calls back to back and being all alone. No one respects you if you say what you need. Also, they don't have hardly any security cameras which have called for several people to be molested In areas of the building. Just don't work here, you can find something better than working at Metlife
