Pros

Some good people. That’s about it.

Cons

Work/Life Balance Very stringent work from home policy. If you are local you are expected to work in the office even though you may be only interacting with people outside of the campus or the US. Expected to work in the office and also take very early team calls and support needed on weekends or nights. They want office collaboration, but hire staff outside of NJ/PA areas, so the policy is only hurting people who live in a commutable distance to the office. It is a popularity contest company. If you are a knowledgeable hard worker, this is not valued. Benefit package is not as good as other companies in the class. Overcrowded campus where you can’t even get a decent lunch. It used to be a very good company. That’s too bad. Nothing lasts forever.

Pros

Great co-workers, Merck hires the best out of the best. Senior managers are approachable.

Cons

Slow to change; lower level managers do not align with senior leaders vision. Managers have old school mindset.
