Good intentions, painful integration with SP, lots of growing pains in dealing with new Pharma landscape

strong scientists, good infrastructure, good intentions

Cons

upper management changes strategy every couple of years, too much micromanaging from upper management committees, not enough trust in the front line employees, integration of benefits between Merck and SP has resulted in the worst of both companies
