Pros

Scientists were in charge. Great work/life balance. Highly Ethical environment. Very good Scieince performed everyday.

Cons

Salary is below average. Promotions are few and far between. Merck is screwing everything up. they have very little regard for scientists or the scientific process. Merck uses antiquated techniques and has no problem throwing money out the window for shiny new toys.

Great pay, good products. Very smart people with a strong desire to do the right thing. Ethical and a strong focus on improving health.

Cons

Employees not encouraged to innovate. Too much "follow the leader," to stay off the radar for my taste. Poor communication with employees.
