Pros

In the econmy of 2008, it still seems like a stable place to work. It is a great place to learn and then go on to a competitor to make the "real" money.

Cons

Low pay as compared to other companies and managment does not follow through on promises. Not all the staff are eligible for bonuses. For an HR consulting firm, you would think that they would use their "expertise" to make it a better and more equitable place to work. They talk about employee renention, but when it comes down to putting their money where their mouth is, it doesn't happen.

Pros

There are lots of opportunities to pursue. If you get stuck in a rut and want to try something else, there are many different facets to explore all within the company. The local and regional leadership is generally easy to work with and often show interest in each employees well-being. The company is very proactive to a changing economy and benefits environment. Their quality control procedures are second to none. Peer review is part of the culture and as a result the quality of work that is produced is a lot higher than at other employers I've worked for in the past.

Cons

The company has been inappropriately staffed for most of my time at the company causing unnecessary burdens on employees which has frequently resulted in burnout and work that is not always up to par. For a benefits consulting firm, the company does not effectively take the advice of its top consultants. The retirement benefits are lousy compared to competitors. The vacation policies do not reward those who forgoe vacation time and choose to bill more hours and generate more revenue. Employee evaluations and promotions do not always seem to reflect an employee's performance for the entire year which is frustrating.

Pros

The atmosphere is pretty good. All the colleges are kind. They are willing to help you and give you advice in your career.

Cons

The business mainly focus on Health and benefit. So you might feel a little boring except you really love such industry and business.
