Pros

It's a great place to start a career and get some experience in the corporate world. A lot of red tape, and bad communication from the top.

Cons

Once you gain your skills it can be a pain to gain the right experience to advance your personal skills or to advance within the company. Although communication from the top is bad, the direct managers try to help anyway they can (though sometimes their hands are tied)

Pros

Flexible schedule, intellectual capital, intelligent and highly capable senior colleagues. Great as an initial job - Mercer is a widely recognized name. Also if applying as an analyst or senior analyst, you most likely will be overtime eligible.

Cons

Long hours, poor compensation (for everyone except analysts and senior analysts who are now overtime eligible), not everyone is above average in the work they do but, sometimes, that doesn't seem as a factor taken into consideration in terms of compensation or promotions. If you are good at what you do, they'll attempt to overwork you unless you put your foot down and say no. But on the flipside, saying no will count against you.

Pros

Pros... Bright colleagues who work really hard, decent work/life balance, collegial atmosphere high performers are rewarded and will go far.

Cons

As an analyst most of your time is spent on grunt work and you don't have many opportunities to face clients. But some groups are better than others, depends on your supervisor.
