Pros

Good pay and benefits considering it's a CSR position, also opportunity to obtain Series 7. It's a decent job if you're right out of college and can't get nothing else, but definitely short term, 12-18 months.

Cons

Demanding and stressful, it's easy going for the first 2-3 months but once the managers consider you're ready to take more advanced calls it's non-stop for 8 hrs a day. Every stat is tracked, it's all about meeting or exceeding Service Level Agreements (SLA). Also some callers can be very difficult, lastly job gets repetitive really fast and it's hard to move elsewhere within the company since the call center managers want to keep the good reps in their dept. in order to meet SLA.
