Pros

V ery intelligent people who are strong technical experts in their field

Cons

Technical expertise is the only career path with little emphasis on leadership development. Although that is changing.

Pros

It is a great place to begin your career, as the compensation is in line with industry standards and in the human capital business, Mercer is king.

Cons

The new decision to make Analysts into hourly workers (discrepancy between Exempt and Non-Exempt) has created some derision from the more Senior members of the team.

Pros

Salary is at the higher end for the Twin Cities area.

Cons

Very limited opportunities for administrative workers to move up, there is a lack of respect for administrative workers and they are rarely acknowledged. Also, considerable lack of 'fairness' in decisions on promotions/career levels.
