Amazing as a casual job while studying, if you're interested in the beauty industry / products Culture varies by store, had very positive experience with management who supported the team and were open to receiving feedback Good discount and occasional gratis Good hours as a casual and very flexible with rostering Generally friendly customers who are grateful for your service, way less abuse than other retail jobs Good pay with penalty rates

Cons

You do need to buy into the cult of Mecca to have a good time, everyone lives and breathes this job so be prepared. Easy enough if you already have interest in beauty Not that many gratis and product allowance is negligible as a casual Difficult to progress, if you expect this to be a serious long-term career Favouritism is obvious and it means certain staff members more likely to be selected for opportunities / free products than others
