Pros

Good brand name. Have the majority percentage of the credit card market in the UK. Nice clients (mostly!)

Cons

No training for people joining from outside the industry. Misaligned HR / Team leadership recruitment positioning Mastercard as a technology company, when it has poor internal systems, all IT is out-sourced, and it is clearly only a cards company. Recent lay-offs have created a bad feeling making certain employees (who have been there 15+ years) very competitive with new joiners, to the point of harassment.

- Flexy timings - Good relocation policy

Cons

- Less pay scale - Roles not defined clearly - Okay learning - Slow growth - Hell lot of politics - Management does not make a difference in compensation between somebody who is working and somebody who isn't.

Pros

- Flexible working hours - Good processes defined - lots of parties with open bar - zero paper work on day 1 of joining - laptops for everyone & great network

Cons

- all policies and culture are derived from USA, which not always suits Indian work culture - if you are related (friend or family) to some manager then you are recruited! As time grew I found that there are a lot of people in my team related to each other; lots of favors and spying going around. Manager has recruited his brother's son, wife's sister, neighbor's wife, friend's sister and wife - dangerous team ever!! - no onsite
