Pros

I was given plenty of working hours, which helped me gain consistent income and retail experience. I developed strong customer service and communication skills. The fast-paced environment kept me active and engaged throughout my shifts.

Cons

Although I had many hours, my schedule was spread across the entire week, often with short shifts that took up most days—making it difficult to plan personal time or take full days off. Some inconsistencies in management—two of the managers treated employees differently, which at times affected team morale and fairness in task assignments.

Pros

My coworkers were super nice and I loved working with 99% of them. They're the only reason I miss working at Marshalls. That's literally the only pro I can really think of.

Cons

Pretty much all other retail stores pay you more. They HOUND and I mean HOUND you to sell TJX cards when those are super predatory cards. I remember we would get customers that don't speak English well and my CECs/managers would tell me to use their ITN (I think that's what they're called?) numbers to sign them up for the card. During certain times of the year, we ask for donations. I think we did donations for Autism Speaks (??), which is apparently a really bad company. Payroll is absolutely awful throughout the entire year and you get basically no hours. My last weeks there, I swear I got more hours in those two weeks than I would've any other two weeks.
