Pros

- Many smart, knowledgeable, professionals - A fairly uniform world-wide brand - Broad spectrum of resources - A good place for young people to gain experience and responsibility - Decent wages and benefits for the middle rank-and-file - Very good compensation plans for senior and executive management - The Risk Management division (multi-nationals) traditionally had low turnover and excellent technical people - Extended benefits to Domestic Partners

Cons

- Very bloated, centralized management structure in New York HQ - Executive management's response to Spitzer's legal action in 2004 took 3 tumultuous years to stabilize and when the smoke cleared, a flattish, flexible decentralized organization had morphed into a rigid, authoritarian and increasingly out-of-step and out-of-touch management team. - Constant changing of technology platforms - most very, very bad - clunky and cumbersome. - 10s of millions of dollars spent on bespoke technology platforms - abandoned after a year or 2 - which really looks bad when you cyclically lay off hundreds of skilled workers. - Too many Managing Directors shuffling papers - Moving toward cheap, disposable workers - Middle Market business model can't compete with local and Regional - No longer stand out as knowledge leaders

Pros

Benefits were some of the best in the business

Cons

They are constantly saying 'they're the good guys, we care about our people' Blame game is the entire culture - blame the newest on the team Review process is brutal - they keep harping at you until you say what they want to hear It's never the culture, your boss or the team, it's you and if you don't 'admit' it, you're 'not a team player' The consultants treat everyone else in the company like dogs They want other types of professional expertise, then hire you and treat you like a canker sore until you leave They over-promise clients, take on projects they know nothing about - it's all bravado and BS

Pros

There is only one good thing, that is transport. When it comes to Pune, there is worst traffic so, driving private vehicles are too hectic

Cons

I never saw worst management like this before. They're not caring about employees. They assign random tasks to developers and expect them to do it in single day. They don't ask team about deadlines, they just gives unrealistic deadlines to business and later business push them to adhere to deadlines and management seats on our neck to complete. By this we're doing 12 hours of work daily. Sacrificed many weekends. As usual about appraisals- Market down, business in crisis, no extra ordinary work, losing clients etc etc.
