Don’t do it

Pros

Company car, benefits, decent pay

Cons

Everything else, no life work balance, constantly looking over your shoulder because they follow you after you leave a store and yell at you for the smallest mistake. The grocery division is the worst especially in the northeast with the management they have. High turnover. If you like to take your earned vacation don’t take the job because you will have to make up the lost time by working 60 hour weeks and be told it’s good to have stress before and after your vacation. High turnover people who just get hired look to leave right away.

Pros

Free candy and ice cream if you want it. Most of the people who work there are nice.

Cons

Manage by fear. Constant turnover. No clear expectations on how to perform your role. Each manager seemed to run their team different. Ex - Some managers didn't care if you wore jeans to work, Another would say no jean. Both teams are performing almost the same function in an office without direct customer contact but the expectation on how they dress is totally different. Employee reviews are based off of how well you performed against your peers, not how well you performed. Ex - eveyone met their goals but one person on the team exceed them by 10%. Why didn't you meet that same goal? You need to perform better. If you want me to meet a certain standard, then set it. Don't set the standard then complain that I didn't exceed it.
