Pros

Very open and friendly culture, flat hierarchy, great relationships between all levels (management and non-management), the Mars 5 principles, friendly and helpful colleagues, a lot of freedom, a fun place to work!

Cons

Very decentralised, sometimes too much of freedom and little structure, not always easy to get the job done. Communication and knowledge transfer is not the best. Either you love it and can work for, or you don't.

Pros

Family-owned; collaborative, open culture; focused on employee satisfaction; culture built around Five Principles: Quality, Responsibility, Mutuality, Efficiency and Freedom

Cons

Minimal training or on-boarding - you sink or swim; while intercompany communication is good, work is ultimately accomplished by relationship building (not a bad thing, or unusual, but it can be hard to find the people you need to know)

Pros

Wrigley is a good company to work for because of the well established brands. Everyone knows about wrigley gum. When it comes to selling such a well known product it makes the job a whole lot easier. My position is a field based position. Wrigley proviedes a company car with all paid expenses. They set you up with a home office and you are able to create a flexable schedule. Gas card is provided and that huge with rising prices. You work with the boss maybe 2 a month. Company computer, partial paid cell phone, paid high-speed internet and all the gum you could ever chew.

Cons

Some of the downsides of working at Wrigley is the uncertain future. Recently, the family owned CEO stepped down and brought in an outsider to run the company. 1 year later the company announces that it has been bought out by Mars and that the CEO will be leaving. Wrigley is one on the last few company's that continues to carry a sales force without using 3rd parties. Since the merger, we have now hired a 3rd party company at a fraction of the cost to do exactly the same work we do. Rumors are eveywhere around the company that we are being replaced. Also, every second of your time in the field has to be logged and management micro-manages.
