Collaborative environment with a strong focus on "The Five Principles"
Pros
Culture: Mars has a very unique and strong culture guided by the Five Principles (Quality, Responsibility, Mutuality, Efficiency, and Freedom). You can really feel these values in daily decision-making. Work-Life Balance: Generally better than Big 4 or top-tier consulting. The company respects personal time, and the "pet-friendly" office policy makes the atmosphere much more relaxed. Development: Great focus on "Associate" development. There are many internal training programs (Mars University) and opportunities to rotate between different segments (Petcare, Snacking, Food). People: Super collaborative teams. People are approachable, and there’s a lack of "stiff" hierarchy compared to other FMCG giants.
Cons
Pace of Change: Because it's a massive, family-owned business, some processes can feel a bit slow or traditional. Implementing new financial tools/software can take time. Open Office: The open-plan office can get quite loud, which might be distracting when you need deep focus for complex financial modeling. Structure: Can be complex to navigate the matrix organization if you are new to the company.
